Sam Smart
Sam joined Stonewood as a Site Manager in 2006 and brought with him 10 years’ experience as a carpenter within his family business. Sam began running high spec renovation, conservation and new build projects before being appointed a Director in 2016 now leads the Partnerships division.
Gavin Calthrop
Gavin has spent the majority of his career working in strategic roles for local authorities focussed on communications, place promotion, economic development and urban regeneration. He has overall responsibility for land acquisitions, planning promotions and pre-contract matters.
Adam Marks
Commercial Director
Adam is an experienced financial & commercial director with 15 years of construction experience behind him. A decade of that experience has been within the new build residential sector, gained from a subcontractor, national house builder and more recently, a regional main contractor. Adam also holds an accounting and finance degree, is ACMA qualified and is also an active member of the CIOB.
Kris Beasley
Kris joined Stonewood straight from school as a labourer in 2005 and quickly worked his way up from bricklayer to site manager before becoming a contracts manager leading multi-million-pound projects. He is now responsible for overseeing the construction of all new build housing developments.
James Petherick
Residential Land Director
James is a Chartered Surveyor with 15 years of agency experience most recently heading the residential development team at JLL in Bristol. His role is to build the land bank though the acquisition of both strategic and consented residential development sites.

As an experienced buyer with over 20 years in the building industry, i have gained an excellent knowledge of materials and have worked on a variety of projects ranging in value up to £45m including commercial, education, leisure, residential and prestigious historic buildings.
Lily Elder
Assistant Quantity Surveyor
Lily joined Stonewood in 2019 with a valuable background in commercial procurement, and experience in managing supply chains. As well as being a qualified auditor, she is studying for the Prince2 exam in Project Management.

Jasmine Endersby
Sales & Marketing Manager
Jasmine has extensive experience in selling new build homes for developers. She is responsible for the end to end sales process for all developments, devising marketing strategies and managing the customer journey. Jasmine is an active member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing.

Ross Lye
Joining Stonewood in 2018 as a Project Manager, Ross has worked on a number of prestigious high-end residential and commercial projects in the Somerset area working closely with Managing Director, Sam Smart.
Lucy Field
Project Assistant
After leaving college, Lucy started working in facilities, managing teams of engineers remotely across the UK. With a keen interest in interiors and architecture Lucy decided to take the plunge in to the construction industry, overseeing operations for residential projects in the Bristol and Bath area, working on up to 6 projects at a time supporting the MD and Contracts Manager. Lucy joined Stonewood in 2020 as she wanted a challenge and was drawn to the idea of being apart of something from scratch!
Trevor Jones
Site Manager
Trevor is the site manager for our scheme at The Tannery and has over 20 years’ experience in residential new builds, refurbishment and commercial projects. He is responsible for the smooth and efficient running of the development including the health and safety of all personnel on site; the co-ordination of sub-contractors; and the programming and co-ordination of maintenance.

Simon Hogarty
Technical Manager
With over 20 years’ experience in the industry Simon has been involved in a number of new build residential units ranging from £1m to £20m in value, delivering up to 300 units on any one scheme. He is now responsible for strategic procurement, supply chain relationships and maximising profitability.

Holly Simkiss
Planning Manager
Holly joined Stonewood in January 2020 with a vast background in planning and conservation. She previously worked at Stroud District Council as a development team manager and has a master’s degree in planning and later studied for a post-graduate degree in conservation.

Becky joined Stonewood in February 2019 as a general admin and support for the Partnerships head office. She previously ran her own business and has experience in planning and building consultancy.
