Sam Smart

Managing Director

Sam joined Stonewood as a Site Manager in 2006 and brought with him 10 years’ experience as a carpenter within his family business. Sam began running high spec renovation, conservation and new build projects before being appointed a Director in 2016 now leads the Partnerships division.

Gavin Calthrop

Operations Director

Gavin has spent the majority of his career working in strategic roles for local authorities focussed on communications, place promotion, economic development and urban regeneration. He is responsible for developing strategic partnerships; ensuring delivery of business objectives; and continuously improving organisational processes and governance in order to grow the company in line with the values of the wider Stonewood Group.

Adam Marks

Commercial Director

Adam is an experienced financial & commercial director with 15 years of construction experience behind him. A decade of that experience has been within the new build residential sector, gained from a subcontractor, national house builder and more recently, a regional main contractor. Adam also holds an accounting and finance degree, is ACMA qualified and is also an active member of the CIOB.

Kris Beasley

Construction Director

Kris joined Stonewood straight from school as a labourer in 2005 and quickly worked his way up from bricklayer to site manager before becoming a contracts manager leading multi-million-pound projects. He is now responsible for overseeing the construction of all new build housing developments.  

James Petherick

Land Director

James is a Chartered Surveyor with 15 years of agency experience most recently heading the residential development team at JLL in Bristol. His role is to build the land bank though the acquisition of both strategic and consented residential development sites.

Jamie Bishop

Commercial Manager

Jamie leads on estimating and managing construction management contracts, whilst also dealing with elements of procurement and the appointment of sub-contractors. He brings a wealth of experience having worked at a number of housebuilders delivering high volume residential schemes. Jamie joined Stonewood in 2020.

Robin Stewart

Quantity Surveyor

Robin joined us in March 2021 following over a decade of experience within the residential new build sector for two major PLC housebuilders. Being involved from viability stage of a development to final accounting, Robin will be assisting & managing the key commercial aspects including; estimating, procurement, value engineering, contact management and ensuring the best suitable subcontractors are appointed. He will help to assist & support the Commercial Manager as we continue to grow as a region, while helping to development and progress our two Assistant Quantity Surveyors in their roles.

Kristian Ross

Commercial Analyst

Kristian joined Stonewood in 2021 with a vast background in finance and accounting. As well as being a chartered accountant, Kristian supports the business through presenting and analysing data on past, present and future sites working closely with the Commercial Director.

Lily Elder

Assistant Quantity Surveyor 

Lily joined Stonewood in 2019 with a valuable background in commercial procurement, and experience in managing supply chains. As well as being a qualified auditor, she is studying for the Prince2 exam in Project Management.

Beckie Harris

Assistant Quantity Surveyor 

Beckie joined Stonewood Partnerships in February 2021 as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor. She is currently undertaking a part-time MSc in Quantity Surveying due to complete in July 2021.

Beckie started as a Rotational Graduate, working in Technical, Land, Commercial, Construction and Sales for a major house builder located in Devon before her permanent move from Commercial into a Trainee Surveyor. She then moved to Bristol to progress as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor running multiple sites and supporting other QS’s.

Jasmine Endersby

Sales & Marketing Manager

Jasmine has extensive experience in selling new build homes for developers. She is responsible for the end to end sales process for all developments, devising marketing strategies and managing the customer journey. Jasmine is an active member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing.

Chloé Bennetts

Brand Communications Manager

Chloe joined Stonewood in October 2017 and  leads on brand development and management, digital communications for the group as well as supporting our business development activity.

Stephen Nortrop

Sales Executive

Stephen joined the sales team at Stonewood in March 2021.  He brings with him 11 years of new build sales experience accumulated with some of the Country’s largest PLC builders.  He has also enjoyed a brief spell working in a Bradford on Avon Estate Agency.  Stephen’s friendly, calm and re-assuring approach is already giving our customers confidence when choosing their Stonewood home.

Blake Kendall

Contracts Manager

Blake joined Stonewood in 2020 with over 15 years’ experience in the industry and a successful stint at a major housebuilder. Skilled in CSCS, SMSTS, Contractors, Project Estimation, and Inspection. Blake holds an NVQ Level 6 in Construction Management focused in Construction Management.

Lee Zeffiretti

Contracts Manager

With 30 years’ experience in the Industry, starting as an apprentice Bricklayer, then in to site management, Lee has extensive experience from various developments for the major housebuilders, with the last 5 years as a Contracts Manager over seeing development from Cornwall to Swindon. Lee joined Stonewood in 2020.

Ross Lye

Project Co-ordinator

Joining Stonewood in 2018 as a Project Manager, Ross has worked on a number of prestigious high-end residential and commercial projects in the Somerset area working closely with Managing Director, Sam Smart.

Lucy Field

Project Co-ordinator

After leaving college, Lucy started working in facilities, managing teams of engineers remotely across the UK. With a keen interest in interiors and architecture Lucy decided to take the plunge in to the construction industry, overseeing operations for residential projects in the Bristol and Bath area, working on up to 6 projects at a time supporting the MD and Contracts Manager.  Lucy joined Stonewood in 2020 as she wanted a challenge and was drawn to the idea of being apart of something from scratch!

Trevor Jones

Site Manager

Trevor is the site manager for our scheme at Somerbrook and has over 20 years’ experience in residential new builds, refurbishment and commercial projects. He is responsible for the smooth and efficient running of the development including the health and safety of all personnel on site; the co-ordination of sub-contractors; and the programming and co-ordination of maintenance.

Paul Stevenson

Site Manager

Paul is the site manager for The Tannery and joined in 2021 from our sister company, Stonewood Builders with many years of site management experience.

He is responsible for all elements of construction and health and safety at The Tannery as well as involvement in the customer journey to ensure delivery of a amazing Stonewood home.

Maisie Lapham

Assistant Site Manager

Maisie started as an apprentice painter and decorator in 2013, before moving into site management as a trainee in 2017. Maisie joined Stonewood in March 2021 and currently works on our Somerbrook development assisting Site Manager, Trevor.

Chelsey Salt

Assistant Site Manager

Chelsey has been in the construction industry since 2008 when she started her career as an apprentice plumbing and heating engineer. Ten years later she moved into an Assistant Site Manager role for a major house builder and then decided to join the Stonewood team in early 2021. She is responsible for our Orchard Field development, helping manage all construction works and health and safety on site.

Simon Hogarty

Technical Manager

With over 20 years’ experience in the industry Simon has been involved in a number of new build residential units ranging from £1m to £20m in value, delivering up to 300 units on any one scheme. He is now responsible for strategic procurement, supply chain relationships and maximising profitability.

Holly Simkiss

Planning Manager

Holly joined Stonewood in January 2020 with a vast background in planning and conservation. She previously worked at Stroud District Council as a development team manager and has a master’s degree in planning and later studied for a post-graduate degree in conservation.

Lewis Knight

Principle Planner

Lewis joined Stonewood in 2021. He previously worked at JLL for a number of years in planning and now works closely with the Land and Planning team.

Administrator

Becky joined Stonewood in February 2019 as a general admin and support for the Partnerships head office. She previously ran her own business and has experience in planning and building consultancy.
