Matt joined the Stonewood team full time, over 20 years ago, after his father Neill founded the company in 1972. He has since become Chief Executive Officer and leads on developing new business while maintaining the ethos and values that have made Stonewood successful.
Ben has been with the company for nearly 20 years and oversees all financial activities across the group. He has been instrumental in developing the company’s infrastructure, processes and procedures which has been a critical factor in enabling the company’s growth.
With over 35 years within the Construction industry, Richard joined Stonewood as Group Chairman in 2019. Richard previously worked at Countryside Properties, a company his father set up in 1958, and founded Stonebond Properties in 1975 where he still resides on the board.
Sam joined Stonewood as a Site Manager in 2006 and brought with him 10 years’ experience as a carpenter within his family business. Sam began running high spec renovation, conservation and new build projects before being appointed a Director in 2016 now leads the Partnerships division.
Gavin has spent the majority of his career working in strategic roles for local authorities focussed on communications, place promotion, economic development and urban regeneration. He has overall responsibility for land acquisitions, planning promotions and pre-contract matters.
Adam is an experienced financial & commercial director with 15 years of construction experience behind him. A decade of that experience has been within the new build residential sector, gained from a subcontractor, national house builder and more recently, a regional main contractor. Adam also holds an accounting and finance degree, is ACMA qualified and is also an active member of the CIOB.
Sales & Marketing Manager
Jasmine has extensive experience in selling new build homes for developers. She is responsible for the end to end sales process for all developments, devising marketing strategies and managing the customer journey. Jasmine is an active member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
Kris joined Stonewood straight from school as a labourer in 2005 and quickly worked his way up from bricklayer to site manager before becoming a contracts manager leading multi-million-pound projects. He is now responsible for overseeing the construction of all new build housing developments.
With over 20 years’ experience in the industry Simon has been involved in a number of new build residential units ranging from £1m to £20m in value, delivering up to 300 units on any one scheme. He is now responsible for strategic procurement, supply chain relationships and maximising profitability.
Luke leads on estimating and managing construction management contracts, whilst also dealing with elements of procurement and the appointment of sub-contractors. He brings a wealth of experience having worked at a number of housebuilders delivering high volume residential schemes.
Brand Communications Manager
Chloe joined the Stonewood in October 2017 and leads on brand development and management, digital communications for the group as well as supporting our business development activity.
Joining Stonewood in 2018 as a Project Manager, Ross has worked on a number of prestigious high-end residential and commercial projects in the Somerset area working closely with Managing Director, Sam Smart.
Lily joined Stonewood in 2019 with a valuable background in commercial procurement, and experience in managing supply chains. As well as being a qualified auditor, she is studying for the Prince2 exam in Project Management.
Holly joined Stonewood in January 2020 with a vast background in planning and conservation. She previously worked at Stroud District Council as a development team manager and has a master’s degree in planning and later studied for a post-graduate degree in conservation.
Becky joined Stonewood in February 2019 as a general admin and support for the Partnerships head office. She previously ran her own business and has experience in planning and building consultancy.
Trevor is the project manager for our scheme at The Tannery and has over 20 years’ experience in residential new builds, refurbishment and commercial projects. He is responsible for the smooth and efficient running of the development including the health and safety of all personnel on site; the co-ordination of sub-contractors; and the programming and co-ordination of maintenance.
